Congratulations to Mark and Danielle! I remember meeting these two for the consultation, and laughing so much that I forgot for a minute that we had business to discuss. They are such a great time– just as bright and colorful as the Dequindre Cut! What a cool location! So glad they picked it. I want to go back and shoot more! Or just hang out at the lighthouse one lazy Sunday…
I cannot wait to photograph this wedding in October!!

This Mehndi party was a great kick-off to the wedding weekend! It was a beautiful sight with all the colorful sarees and henna designs! Everyone was so excited for the next day (including me! I was a guest on the wedding day!).

Congratulations to Brad and Allison on their engagement!! These two were soooo hilarious!! They kept me laughing through my camera. Even editing these photos, I was still laughing. I am so glad they found each other– they definitely make a great couple.
We met at the blue bridge downtown, and Brad hobbled up with hurt achilles tendons. What a trooper! Good thing too, because I love this session!

Theo is growing up so fast!! The last time I photographed Theo he was a little boy playing in his backyard and now he is almost my height!! Time flies, right? I had a great time with Theo, and his Nana and Papa! We celebrated his upcoming First Communion with their favorite ice cream spot. What a nice Sunday!

Cork - Pleasant Ridge, MI
Love, wine, and champagne!!! We celebrated Leah and Maggie’s upcoming commitment ceremony at Cork, a little wine pub close to Ferndale. Leah and Maggie were so natural and fun as they laughed and talked about plans for the big day. This couple is beautiful, down-to-earth, and so bubbly!! Maybe I just used that word because of the “bubbly”…
Did I mention Cork, in Pleasant Ridge? It’s a good time. The staff was so accommodating! They completely let us take over and gave us privacy for this session.
I am sooooo excited for September 6th!! Petoskey, here we come!! The ceremony and reception will be gorgeous– the bluff overlooking the water, and fall in Michigan! Stay tuned!

Happy Birthday, Walker!! The celebration was so fun- for all ages!! This group was so loving and bubbly.
It was a great day. My favorite images came at the end of the party, when Walker just went to sleep in a snap. He did a complete 180– from party animal to sleep in one minute! You can check out the photos of him all tuckered out after a big day of partying. So cute.
Welcome Shanna Lynn Browne!! Born on February 21, this little one is soooooo stinkin’ cute and already has quite a personality!! Congratulations to Dave and Michelle. It was so nice to see one of my oldest and dearest friends as a new mama!!
I am hoping to have a girls’ day soon.

Friends and Families of Cystic Fibrosis– Bid for Bachelors and Bachelorettes!!
I had SOOO MUCH FUN at the Bid For Bachelors and Bachelorettes at Devos on Saturday night!! Proceeds went to Friends and Families of Cystic Fibrosis. I was honored that a session from The Bigger Picture Photography was a part of Amy VanDuinen’s package– that sassy girl pulled in over $1,000 from the bidding!! I can’t wait to photograph the winners!
I also won a silent auction prize– for the first time in my life. Whoo-hoo!

I was so excited for this session! Michelle is one of my oldest and dearest friends. We have known each other since we were teeny weeny. I can’t believe she is about to have a teeny one of her own!! Time goes by so fast, right? After the session, Dave and Mick made goulash– her mother’s recipe– the one we used to eat when we were 5yrs old. Of course, I had red wine this time. They pair quite nicely. So do Dave and Michelle– tons of fun. It was a great day catching up with these two (I mean three!).
I can’t wait to meet Baby Browne! Soon! Stay tuned…

It was a cold and snowy, beautiful day in west Michigan for this engagement session! Congratulations to Kate and Peelu!! I am so thankful that these two were willing to tromp around in the snow. Yes, that is actually their living room set outside! These two are so fun. I want to do it all over again. I was laughing right with them through the lens.
