THE FELT MANSION WEDDING- LeAnn and Dan

THE FELT ESTATE
HOLLAND, MI

Congratulations to Leann and Dan! What a beautiful ceremony at The Felt Mansion, surrounded by water at the fountain, and surrounded by the bridal party of Dan and Leann’s daughters, son, and daughters’ boyfriends. It was very relaxed, from getting ready all the way through to the end of the partying. The rain even held off until we were all inside for dinner! Rain is good luck for a wedding, so it was even better luck that we still got to have the ceremony outside right before the downfall.

These two met through an internet dating service in December 2012. For their first date they saw a jazz Christmas special concert and had dinner at the Knight Cap in Lansing. They took things slowly and Dan proposed in December 2018 during dinner out with LeAnn’s daughters. It was a complete surprise. They had planned a September 2020 wedding, but Covid-19 had other plans and they postponed until 2021.

LeAnn and Dan bought their first house together in November 2020. They both like to take walks, ride bikes, play golf, and win money at the casino together! Their honeymoon was spent in Costa Rica!

Dan and LeAnn, thank you for trusting me to document your story. I hope you two keep having wonderful adventures together. You have a beautiful family.

Mount Pleasant, MI - Katie and Jeremiah

Mount Pleasant, MI
Courtyard by Marriott Hotel
Deerfield Nature Park
St. Henry’s Center, Rosebush

Congratulations Katie and Jeremiah! What a cool, laid-back, fun-loving couple! These two met freshman year and hung out every day after. Their first date came from a lost bet at pool when he had to take her out on an actual date. They watched a football game, played some mini golf, got some McDonald's, and then took a night walk out at Perry Farms. They've been together for eleven years. The proposal happened on the beaches right off the bay of Seattle, while they were watching for whales and gazing at snow capped mountains. They decided they were meant to be out west and wanted to get married with their families before starting their new grand adventure together.

They both love everything there is to love about disc golf, and play whenever possible. When the theaters are open, they have a date night at least once a week, or cuddle with popcorn on the couch watching Netflix. They love to travel and enjoy the outdoors. It's their dream to just own a bus and travel the country together.

In case you missed their disc golf, hammock-loving engagement session, you can view it here:

Next year, they will honeymoon traveling the country out west until they end in Seattle and make it their new home.

I am so honored that Mr. and Mrs. Clennan chose me to document their story! Please enjoy the preview of their big day:

Riverside Park Engagement Session- Katie and Jeremiah

Grand Rapids, MI
Riverside Park

Congratulations Katie and Jeremiah! This cool couple met at ONU as freshmen. Katie and her roommate went to the dining hall and she asked where they should sit. Katie looked around and noticed this blonde with “oh shit blue eyes” and said, “Table 10 next to that guy.” Jeremiah was with his roommate and they tried to impress the ladies by talking about past surgeries they had from different events. Jeremiah ditched a dorm party to play Hakki sack with them in the quad, and the four of them were inseparable after that. Their roommates starting dating and pushed Katie and Jeremiah to date as well. Anything they did turned into a bet. They played pool ALL the time. So one day, their friends said if they lost, Jeremiah had to take Katie on a date. She is pretty sure he lost on purpose.

Their first date started with mini golf and bets. He asked Katie what sounded good for dinner and she wanted a McChicken. They walked by the football field and kept walking into the night at Perry Farms. It was a great night.

The four friends ended up leaving school and the two roommates got engaged. Jeremiah moved from MI to IL, where Katie would visit and play endless hours of Mario Party and Spades. Jeremiah came to visit Katie’s family one weekend and then just never went back. They’ve been together over 10 years now. There’s nothing they can’t  overcome.

This past Christmas they went out to Seattle to visit his brother. They were standing on the beach, whale-watching, looking across the Canadian snow capped mountains, turning to see the Seattle skyline, and then more, to see Mt Rainier popping through the clouds. He said they should move there. Katie said she wouldn’t move across the country without getting married. She told him they could elope. There in the mountains, with just their parents and a photographer. He said no, they should get married back home with all their family and friends because he knew that’s what she really wanted. That would give them time to save and have a year before they moved. So, it was more of a mutual agreement that they should get married. Haha! It was romantic all the same. So now the wedding is the perfect fall weekend and their honeymoon is a two week camping trip traveling the country out to Seattle.

When it’s not COVID, they love going to the movies or Netflix binge-ing. Popcorn is normally a main food group. They play disc golf, darts, pool, bowling... Obviously disc golf. That is everyday, every weekend if they can. They like hammocks and hiking. Again, disc golf and popcorn. Haha!

We had so much fun at their engagement “date”! What a cool cool couple. So excited for the wedding in the fall in Mount Pleasant!! Enjoy this little preview:
