Snowy Winter Grand Rapids Engagement- Jess and Kayla

Grand Rapids, MI

Congratulations to Jess and Kayla! What a beautiful and cold winter day in Michigan!!  These ladies actually live in Lansing, and were such troopers for this session!! I think their hands were about to fall off. It was a ton of fun traipsing in the snow with them, though!! I think they should use these images for their Christmas cards... I hope they remember this... The shots in the woods- we were all up to our knees in snow.  It was really cool to be out in the middle of the white silence. Very romantic. And cold. Did I say that?

So, these two chicas and I made a great fit right from the consultation. We were just getting more and more excited and were hugging by the end of the consult. Jess and Kayla  are awesome. They are getting hitched in Marquette this summer, and I AM SO EXCITED!!! It will be a very laid-back beachy affair. We will be hitting some really cool spots for pictures, and then celebrating on the water. Whoo hooo!! I cannot wait!! Please stay tuned!

Rainy, Snowy, Engagement Kalamazoo-Chelsea and Brock

Kalamazoo, MI

I am so grateful that Chelsea and Brock found me!! What amazing people!! I know that we would be best buds if they lived here (they live in Texas). They met with me on their way to meet family for the holidays- a 60 hour road trip, I believe! That is impressive, I must say.

This session was soooo much fun. I felt like I was hanging out with old friends. The day was pretty wet and dreary, but I think you will see that beautiful, romantic images can come from the rain! Proof that you shouldn't always cancel just because of the weather...

We lucked out at Western (where they met) and ran into some theatre pals, so we were allowed to photograph inside their old stompin' grounds. How cool is that? I also have spent some days in an auditorium and a Black Box (we have a lot in common), so it was really nice to be able to photograph them in "the theatre world". By the way, Chelsea is a professional model. She is that gorgeous in real life.

Chelsea and Brock are so warm and bubbly-- full of life and love. That warmth came in handy at the Kalamazoo Walking Mall. They were troopers in the cold. I love the rainy shots with all the lights in the background. Beautiful people turned this into a beautiful day!

I can't wait to photograph this wedding. Cannot Wait.
