Portland, OR

So, I'm posting my pics of my vacation... I thought it would be nice to share something personal, instead of work work work all the time.  It was great to see my hanai family! I needed my girls. I was also in desperate need of a real vacation before wedding season started!

I've been going through a time of transformation recently, and as I was reading "Wild" from Cheryl Strayed, I thought what could be more perfect than Oregon at a time like this?  I even met a chickie that actually hiked the PCT by herself. I am still in awe of that lady. Little bit of a girl crush. She knows.

We crossed the Bridge of the Gods (from "Wild"), went hiking, stood in awe in front of waterfalls, chilled at some vineyards, played at Canon Beach where The Goonies was filmed, ate oysters in front of the ocean, and had some significant spiritual time at The Grotto...

I am lucky that my old friend, Jen Kane, is the best energy healer out there in the world. I have to give her a shout out--  http://shiftintojoy.com/  -- "Shift Into Joy represents a full body, mind, and spiritual shift."  Try it. You will not be disappointed. It is truly amazing.

I am very blessed to have the people in my circle that I do. I am so grateful. Thank you for the aloha...

Family session, Dequindre Cut

DeQuindre Cut, Detroit

What a great big happy family, these Walleys, Lohrers, and Tasiellis... We had an awesome sunny day to trek around the bike path.

So, Rachelle and I are close friends and have been for years. What I find hilarious, is that when I "met" her folks (we had been on volleyball teams and other things during school, but that's always chaos, so this was an actual meeting years ago), the first thing her dad asked me was, "Were you at that party at my house that my girls threw in high school?" Ha ha!!! "No, sir, I was not."

I always find them hilarious and warm. They are a good group. Thanks for dinner on the water!!

Enjoy your preview...

DeQuindre Cut Detroit Engagement-Kathy and Donnie

Dequindre Cut
Detroit, MI

Congratulations to Kathy and Donnie!! These guys are getting hitched on October 29th in Grand Rapids, at the Amway Grand Plaza, and I cannot wait!!

They met at their 1st class, Monday morning their freshman year, at Grand Valley State University. Seven years later, Donnie proposed at the family's cabin in Torch Lake. They were cooking and eating in the kitchen when Donnie asked Kathy to grab the champagne out of the fridge. When she turned around, he was on his knee with the ring. Awww. I know, right?!

We had a great day truckin' around the bike path, talking about wedding plans.
Enjoy the preview and stay tuned in October!
