Congratulations to Ashley and Hal on their engagement! 

These two have known each other since 8th grade. Hal had told her he loved her way back in the day, and she never knew. They definitely have a story that proves love always wins in the end. Lots of moving, Ashley dated Hal's brother at some point... But, everything that is meant to be will be and they found each other again.

He proposed on her birthday, by kneeling down on one knee, and she almost tripped over him. I love this couple.

I'm so very excited to document their story. I wish them well on the many adventures (and little bundles of joy!) heading their way, to add to their other bundles of joy, growing their beautiful family!

DeQuindre Cut Detroit Engagement-Kathy and Donnie

Congratulations to Kathy and Donnie!! These guys are getting hitched on October 29th in Grand Rapids, at the Amway Grand Plaza, and I cannot wait!!

They met at their 1st class, Monday morning their freshman year, at Grand Valley State University. Seven years later, Donnie proposed at the family's cabin in Torch Lake. They were cooking and eating in the kitchen when Donnie asked Kathy to grab the champagne out of the fridge. When she turned around, he was on his knee with the ring. Awww. I know, right?!

We had a great day truckin' around the bike path, talking about wedding plans.

Plymouth, MI Fall Engagement-Katie and Brendan

Congratulations to my old friend, Katie!! I'm so happy for these two, and so extremely honored to be documenting their story. 

Katie and I share many childhood memories. It was so good to reconnect after all this time. A funny tidbit-- I always felt really bad, because I bit her when we were really little. I said something about this, and she said, "Oh, I always thought that was your neighbor". "Yes, yes it was." Ha ha!! 

Brendan and Katie met eight years ago in Boston through a mutual friend, and started seeing each other at all the concerts and sporting events they both liked.  He decided to take a trip to Germany to visit his family in July 2012, and invited Katie to go along, and they have been together ever since. So, technically, their first date was a two and a half week European vacation!  They went to Amsterdam, Berlin, Vienna, Bratislava, Salzburg, Munich, and Zurich on that first trip. 

He proposed in Germany, overlooking Neuschwanstein castle.  

Sounds like a fairy tale to me...
