Ann Arbor Wedding- Tom and Michael

St. Andrews, Ann Arbor MI
Vinology, Ann Arbor MI

Congratulations to Tom and Michael! What a laid-back and happy couple. Tom and Michael met online and then at church, and have been together since that first meeting five years ago. Their lifelong goal is "to own a lakeside bed and breakfast where Tom will do all of the cooking and baking and Michael will manage the front of house, and yes, we both do realize just how gay that really sounds." By the way, Michael made all the individual cakes at the wedding. I had crème brule cake and it was spectacular.

The proposal--Thomas decided that he would like to celebrate St. Nicholas Day with Michael. "Two stockings and one glitter pen later, ... Michael found a special small box at the bottom of his stocking." Tom got on one knee and proposed to Michael.

I am so honored to capture the big day! Thank you fellas so much. I wish you the best and a very Happy St. Nicholas Day this year!

Here is a preview of the day:

Gaslight Village Engagement Session, Maryann and Joe

Grand Rapids, MI Congratulations to Maryann and Joe!! What an adorable, funny, and laid-back couple. I always like the silly ones. These guys were such a blast that I cannot wait for this wedding next year!!

The two met at school, Grand Valley. Seven years later, Joe proposed to Maryann while on a weekend trip in Chicago. They were in front of The Bean when it happened and some stranger on the street videotaped the whole thing for them. Now, I wish I could've photographed that! The Bean? So cool.

So, for this engagement session, we grabbed some coffee and trucked out into the super quaint streets of Gaslight Village.  It was downright chilly. They were troopers. I had so much fun documenting their date night.

Here's a sneak peek of their engagement session:

A Day In the Life, The Browne Family

Pinckney, MI "A Day In the Life"

Introducing Victoria Jean Jelly Bean to the Browne Family!! Oh so so so cute! Shanna Banana is a great big sister already! For this "Day In the Life" session, I captured Michelle and Dave and the two kiddos just hanging out together on a cozy Sunday. You may remember Mick's pregger pics and Shanna's first pics from a while back. How time flies!! I can't believe it.

I love documenting this family (not only because they always make me a fabulous dinner!), but because they are so comfortable and the closeness really comes through  in the images. Mick and I have been friends since preschool. I am so happy for my dear friend. What a fun, very cool family.  I can't wait to see you all again!

Enjoy the preview!
