I had the pleasure of hanging out and chatting about weddings with Elyse and Kayla, from Posh Petals, the other day. What a fun place that is to work! They even have bunnies!
As an entrepreneur, I am always looking to promote other women entrepreneurs and utilize their skill and talent in my business as well as personal life. "Grow the Good"! Elizabeth Schenk, the owner, started this floral business in her basement and has taken this company to a well-known household name in this area, with a team of fun employees. That is amazing. Their adorable shop is located at 806 Bridge St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504.
So, today I am giving a shout out to Posh Petals, in Grand Rapids, for your floral needs, but also your PLANNING needs. Yep, Elyse is one of the event planners and she is wonderful. They also just hired on another planner as well. You can choose from a variety of options, including a "day of" option, where they will help coordinate and be there with you on the big day.
Also, Posh Petals does amazing things for corporate events as well. Did you know that they will keep track of your employees' work anniversaries and send flowers annually for you? Yeah. Amazing, right?!
When asked the deeper meaning behind their work, Elyse and Kayla were smiling to respond, "It's the joy that it brings people. You see their mood lift instantly. They even get emotional. We make a direct impact in a small way."
Yes, they do. Here are some samples of weddings that I have worked with Posh Petals. If you would like to see the full weddings, please check out these links:

Downtown Grand Rapids- Rachel and Josh
Engagement Session
Congratulations Rachel and Josh!
These two met in high school and starting talking at the YMCA. Josh used their adorable little baby niece to propose to Rachel, with a sweet little onesie! It was an intimate celebration at home with family.
They are planning a destination wedding (take me with you?!!!!) and plans are still unraveling.
This was a remarkable sunny 60 degree day in February here in Michigan! A remarkable day for a remarkable couple. They definitely warmed up to the camera and were making me laugh through the lens!
Thank you for sharing your story with me. I hope you enjoy your preview...
Gaslight Village -Hahyoon and Andrew
Grand Rapids, MI
Engagement Session
Hahyoon and Andrew, the cutest couple, have been together for about four years. They met through church and school-both Purdue grads. While Hahyoon was grabbing coffee for this session, Andrew told me that SHE told him she liked him while surrounded by friends at a party.
Cute, right?
Andrew surprised her at home with the proposal. He wasn't supposed to be there that night. It was very intimate and private, with string cheese and a bottle of wine.
These two have lived and traveled all over, and I'm grateful that they ended up in Michigan. This wedding is going to be AMAZING! A wedding at the GRAM, downtown Grand Rapids. I cannot wait! Stay tuned.
We finally had warm weather, after months of cold and gray, so we were eager to get out and about. We stumbled into "Cute Things" on the sidewalk. It was like a sign or something. (Hee hee). I absolutely love the bus stop images. It's like a peek into their loving world, with lots of laughter.
The bus stop images made me think of that song, which is super fitting because it talks about getting married in the future…
”Bus stop, wet day, she's there, I say
Please share my umbrella
Bus stop, bus goes, she stays, love grows
Under my umbrella
All that summer we enjoyed it
Wind and rain and shine
That umbrella, we employed it
By August, she was mine
Every mornin' I would see her waiting at the stop
Sometimes she'd shopped and she would show me what she bought
All the people stared as if we were both quite insane
Someday my name and hers are going to be the same
That's the way the whole thing started
Silly but it's true
Thinkin' of a sweet romance
Beginning in a queue
Came the sun the ice was melting
No more sheltering now
Nice to think that that umbrella
Led me to a vow
Every mornin' I would see her waiting at the stop
Sometimes she'd shopped and she would show me what she bought
All the people stared as if we were both quite insane
Someday my name and hers are going to be the same”
